3ml, 10ml or 30ml: which to pick

The 3 mL vial is the smallest common size, useful for small or occasional needs, and it's often bought in multipacks. It's the same product as the larger vials, just less volume per vial. Per millilitre, smaller vials cost more; if you use bac water regularly, a larger vial usually works out cheaper.1

What to check on arrival

The label says not to use the product unless the solution is clear and the seal is intact.2 Check that the lot number and expiry match the certificate of analysis, and that each vial and seal is undamaged.

Diluent Use & Reconstitution Acknowledgement. bacwaterstar cannot determine the cause of cloudiness, clumping, precipitation, discoloration, or failed reconstitution after this diluent has been mixed with any third-party peptide, compound, powder, vial, or other material. bacwaterstar does not manufacture, test, authenticate, or guarantee the quality or compatibility of any third-party compound used with our products.

From the label: for drug-diluent use only; not for use in neonates; preparations with benzyl alcohol should not be used in epidural or spinal anesthesia.2

Common questions

Is the 3ml vial reusable?

Yes. It's a multiple-dose vial, so repeated withdrawals may be made using aseptic technique.1

Why is 3ml sold in multipacks?

The small size suits single or occasional use, so sellers commonly offer it in packs of several vials.

Is 3ml the same product as 30ml?

Yes. Same USP formulation and preservative, just a smaller vial. See the 30 mL and 10 mL options.
